
Nikos Panidis
Tutor of WSPC Wine School
Born and raised in Germany, Nikos Panidis discovered his passion for wine 30 years ago. Having decided to work in the catering industry, he began his professional career as a sommelier and later continued as an F&B Manager in distinguished restaurants and hotels in Greece.
In 2006, he accepted the position of lecturer at WSPC, taking on the position of Syllabus Coordinator and Developing Assistant Manager in the same organization a few years later. He was for many years an assistant to Konstantinos Lazarakis MW, while at the same time working as an external collaborator at the Export Promotion Organization/ O.P.E. (now Enterprise Greece) in the capacity of Chief Sommelier at international wine fairs as well as in other promotional activities in the industry. He enjoys working in the summers in wineries during the harvest.
In 2011, he wrote the first edition of the educational manual HESTIA Advanced Certificate – The World of Greek Wine, on behalf of the WSPC. In 2017, Nikos Panidis rewrote the updated edition of HESTIA Advanced Certificate – The World of Greek Wine. A 200-page manual and at the same time he contributed significantly to the structure of the renewed educational program exclusively for the Greek vineyard.
In his free time, he likes to draw, read literature and study viticulture and winemaking.
