WSPC Scholarships
At the WSPC Graduation Ceremonies, we reward our students with higher performances in our programmes (Wine, Spirits, Sommellerie, Coffee-Cocoa-Tea). We believe in the value of life long learning, and thus we promote continuing studies as a reward contributing to the further boosting of training.
WSPC Scholarships are awarded by: Ian Harris MBE – WSET Chief Executive, Konstantinos Lazarakis MW – President of WSPC, as well as by representatives of the companies that offer each scholarship.
Scholarship candidates are all the graduates that have the highest performances in examinations in specific programme forms, on the first try (no re-sit or non-show).

High Performance Scholarships
WSPC’s High Performance Scholarships have been established as an institution that is supported by companies in the Wine, Spirits, Coffee and Tourism Industries. These companies honour us with their trust, and stand by our graduates, rewarding their efforts and their choice to follow the demanding and costly road of education. This choice provides added value and a competitive edge, as it contributes to the formation of well rounded professionals, capable of meeting the field’s demands internationally, as well as those of culturally inclusive consumers. Both are valuable assets for marker growth.

Highest Achievement Scholarship
ALPHA ESTATE
Best Professional Achievement in the 6 Levels of Study:
WSET Levels 1, 2 and 3 in Wine / WSET Levels 1 & 2 in Spirits
WSPC HESTIA Level 3 PLUS. Only professionals who have completed all the above educational programs with the highest success rates.
Scholarship Scheme: Part of the tuition fee worth €1,200 is granted for the completion of studies in the WSET DIPLOMA, the crown of the educational programs of WSET England. The scholarship was awarded to the student Garaflis Apostolos Alexandros

Best Consumer Performance in the 4 Levels of Study:
WSET Levels 1, 2 and 3 in Wine
WSPC HESTIA Level 3 PLUS. Only professionals who have completed all the above educational programs with the highest success rates.
Scholarship Scheme:
Sponsorship of a three-day educational trip to a leading European Wine Producer. (value higher than €1,000). The scholarship was awarded to student Makryonitis Irini.
OBE
Best Consumer Performance in 4 Levels of Study:
WSET Levels 1, 2 and 3 in Wine
WSPC HESTIA Level 3 PLUS. Only professionals who have completed all the above educational programs with the highest success rates.
Scholarship Scheme:
Sponsorship of a study trip to wineries of the “Northern Greece Winemakers” association, to three excellent students, worth €700 per student to cover expenses. The scholarship was awarded to students Makryonitis Irini, Karadakis Sotiris and Annisis Andreas.

Best Performance Service/Oenology Professional in the 5 Levels of Study:
WSET Levels 1, 2 and 3 in Wine
WSPC HESTIA Level 3 PLUS
WSPC Modern Somm Techniques
Candidates for this scholarship are only those professionals in the service & catering sectors who have completed all the above educational programs with the highest success rates.
Scholarship Scheme: Tuition & exam fees for attending the Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS) Introductory Course & Certified Exam in Greece, worth €1,170.
(Courses only in Athens). The scholarship was awarded to student Mantas Konstantinos.

Best Professional Performance in the 5 Levels of Study:
WSET Levels 1, 2 and 3 in Wine / WSET Levels 1 & 2 in Spirits. Candidates for this scholarship are only professionals who have completed all the above educational programs with the highest success rates.
Scholarship Scheme: The Hellenic Vineyard Educational Program – WSPC HESTIA Level 3 PLUS is provided, worth €1,085 for courses in Athens or €1,160 for courses outside Athens. The scholarship was awarded to student Sotiropoulos Nikolas.

VAPTISTIS WINERY
Best Professional Performance in the BLIND TASTING TEST OF LEVELS 3. Candidates for this scholarship are only students who have completed with Distinction the Blind Taste Test exams in the WSET Level 3 in Wine & WSPC HESTIA Level 3 PLUS educational programs.
Scholarship Scheme: Tuition fees for studying at WSET Level 1 in SAKE, worth €345, are granted. The scholarship was awarded to the student Papadakis Georgios.
MARINA BUNGALOWS
Best Consumer Performance in WSPC HESTIA Advanced Certificate Level 3 – The world of Greek Wine. Only consumers who have completed the said educational program with the highest success rates are eligible for this scholarship.
Scholarship Scheme: 3-night accommodation for 2 people on the island of Paros is provided. The period from June to mid-September is excluded. The scholarship was awarded to student Chimarios Anastasios.

Best Professional Performance in WSET Level 1 Beer. Only professionals who have completed the said educational program with the highest success rates.

Honorary Scholarship in memory of Nikolaos Skoulas: Only professionals in the Hotel industry who have completed all the above educational programs with the highest success rates.
Scholarship Scheme: Tuition fees for studying at WSET Combo Levels 1 & 2 in Spirits, worth € 268, are granted. The scholarship was awarded to student Rambia Philippos.
SCHOLARSHIP “IN MEMORY” OF YANNIS BOUTARIS
Honorary Scholarship in memory of Yannis Boutaris: Best performance by a graduate of WSET DIPLOMA LEVEL 4 IN WINES with the highest score in the section: D2 WINE BUSINESS. Candidates for this scholarship are Greek Graduates of the WSET Diploma Level 4 in Wines with the highest score in D2 Wine Business.
Scholarship Scheme: The Sales Training Scheme: The Psychology of Sales Part A, Part B & Negotiations, worth €1,065, is provided. The scholarship was awarded to student Georgantopoulos Faye.
SCHOLARSHIP in the support & training program for single-parent families from WSPC & the Gérard Basset Foundation
Honorary Scholarship: Best student performance in WSET Level 1 in Wine, WSET Level 1 in Spirits and BSA L1 Plus in Coffee Cocoa Tea. Candidates for this scholarship are students who have completed all the above educational programs with the highest success rates.
Scholarship Scheme: Tuition fees for the WSET Level 1 Beer, worth €345, are granted. The scholarship was awarded to the student Koukoufiki Stefania.
DIPLOMA BURSARY “APOSTOLOS SPYROPOULOS” by KTIMA SPYROPOULOS
Honorary Scholarship in memory of winemaker Apostolos Spyropoulos: Best performance of a WSET Diploma Graduate in the 6th module assignment (D6 Examination: Independent research assignment) WSET Diploma. Candidates for this scholarship are only Greek Graduates of the WSET DIPLOMA, the highest WSET Award, with the highest score in the 6th module assignment of the Diploma (D6 Examination: Independent research assignment).
Scholarship Scheme: €1,000 grant to cover part of the tuition fees of the WSET Diploma in Wines Educational Programme. The scholarship was awarded to the students: Roussakis Elias & Georgantopoulou Fai.
