Dimitris Stathopoulos completed his studies in 2008 at the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, Democritus University of Thrace (TEFAA) and a few years later began his studies in the fields of wines, spirits and oenology.
He is currently studying for the WSET Diploma – the crowning achievement of WSPC’s educational programs, and holds the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines, from which he graduated with Distinction. At the same time, he has attended many seminars and oenology practices. He has many years of experience in wine and spirits tasting, as well as in wine and food pairing.
He worked for seven years at Cellier/GENKA COMMERCIAL S.A., while for the last 7 years he has held the position of Head of Consulting & Supervision of WSPC, as well as the Director of Purchasing and Operations.
He is married with one child.
