
Giannopoulos Nikolaos
With over 20 years of experience in the wine and luxury hospitality industry, Nikolas Giannopoulos is an internationally award-winning sommelier, ambassador for leading luxury brands and expert in creating world-class wine & beverage programs.
He holds the DipWSET title and is currently completing his Executive MBA at ESCP Business School in Paris, strengthening his expertise in the strategic management of luxury brands and investments in the fine wine & spirits sector. For the last 8 years, he has served as Brand Ambassador of Moët Hennessy Greece on behalf of Ambyx, representing iconic brands such as Dom Pérignon, Krug, Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart, Moët & Chandon and Hennessy.
In his role, he has contributed significantly to shaping the strategy of brands in the Greek market, training professionals and developing partnerships with the best restaurants, bars and luxury hotels in the country. At the same time, as CEO of Oenophorum Global, he provides consulting services to the leading hotel companies in Greece, designing tailor-made wine & beverages programs, haute cuisine experiences and development strategies for premium lifestyle brands. He has collaborated with luxury resorts, boutique hotels and international hospitality operators, raising the bar of the luxury experience in the hospitality sector.
He also serves as Director of the Technical Committee of the Panhellenic Sommeliers Association, having responsibility for the organization of national sommelier competitions, as well as for the training of professionals in the sector in Greece. His passion for wine and gastronomy, as well as his dedication to excellence and innovation, have earned him accolades such as Best Sommelier of Greece for three consecutive years, International Sommelier Award Winner in Strasbourg, as well as 17th place in the World Sommelier Competition in Argentina. At WSPC, he shares his knowledge and experience, inspiring the new generation of wine professionals and promoting a deeper understanding and appreciation of wine and gastronomy.
