Upgrading the Human Resources of the Country

The Tourism sector by 2030 should fill significant gaps that exist today in specialized job positions. WSPC’s priority is the systematized and excellent education of our current and future graduates in this direction. With the establishment of the WSPC SOMMELIER ACADEMY, WSPC introduces Job – Specific Education for the first time, starting with Executive Sommeliers in large high-end hotels, restaurants and tourist destinations.

Alignment of each year of study with a specific professional profile

From Junior Sommelier to Executive Sommelier, studies at the WSPC Sommelier Academy are directly related to the HO.RE.CA market. The educational profile of the WSPC Oenology Studies is designed so that our students can work at the same time – especially during the summer months (season). Each year of study essentially gives clarity to the candidate’s professional identity, thus clarifying to prospective employers the positions and responsibilities per year of completion of the profile.

We are an Approved Program Provider of: Court of Masters Sommelier (CMS), Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET), Wine Scholar Guild (WSG) and Beverage Standards Association (BSA), in Greece. We also collaborate with these same institutions in the WSPC SOMMELIER ACADEMY, thus providing our students with solid, systematized knowledge with international recognition. Aspiring Executive Sommeliers, upon graduation, will now belong to a network of Internationally Recognized Professionals and to the elite of the World Wine Industry.
